Great news from Michigan! We recently closed the PACE financing for our project with the YMCA of Blue Water located in Eastern Michigan, delivering over $800,000 in energy conservation improvements. These PACE funds facilitated the pursuit of this project, estimated to save the Y over $2 million in the following two decades. The project was started on August 23rd and is expected to be finished within a month or so. Since 2008, this has been the largest maintenance project that the YMCA has administered, and Plug Smart is proud to be their partner to oversee the improvement. Blue Water YMCA’s president, Denise Brooks, said “these enhancements make it a better experience for our customers.”
Details and improvements of the project include upgrading interior and exterior lighting to LED, improving control systems, replacing hot water heaters, implementing water conservation systems, and replacing the steam room boiler.
